Ngā Whakataetae Kapa Haka mo ngā Kura Tuarua o Mataatua – Mataatua Secondary School Kapa Haka

Secondary school students from across Mataatua will be taking to the stage in August for Ngā Whakataetae Kapa Haka mo ngā Kura Tuarua o Mataatua.

The biennial event is a chance for tauira (students) to live and showcase their cultural identity through Māori performing arts while also aiming to qualify to compete at the National Secondary Schools Kapahaka.

The event provides countless benefits to our hāpori, including the revitalisation of Te Reo Maori and Maori culture, the promotion of health and wellbeing, and the positivity of interpersonal relationships between whānau, hapu, and iwi within our rohe.
